Two million wildebeest and zebra follow the rain in a clockwise circuit. Where they are in the year determines which camp you should be in.

Wildlife
The migration is not an event but a continuous movement of roughly two million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle around the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem.
December to March The herds gather on the short-grass plains of the southern Serengeti and Ndutu, where calving peaks in February. This is predator season: cheetah and lion are at their most visible.
April to June As the rains fail, the columns swing north and west through the Western Corridor, crossing the Grumeti.
July to October The herds cross the Mara River into the Masai Mara — the river crossings everyone comes for. This is peak season in Kenya and the busiest time of year.
November Short rains bring the herds back south through the Loliondo and Lobo areas into the Serengeti again.
