Meet on arrival at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to your lodge on the lakeshore. Briefing with your safari consultant over dinner.
2Entebbe – Kibale ForestDay 2+
Drive west through tea estates and crater country to Kibale, the primate capital of East Africa. Afternoon walk in the Bigodi wetlands.
3Chimpanzee tracking – Queen Elizabeth NPDay 3+
Morning chimpanzee tracking with the ranger team, then continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an evening game drive.
4Kazinga Channel & IshashaDay 4+
Morning boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, afternoon game drive through the Ishasha plains in search of tree-climbing lions.
5Queen Elizabeth – BwindiDay 5+
Scenic drive into the Kigezi highlands — terraced hillsides, banana groves and the forest edge of Bwindi.
6Gorilla trekkingDay 6+
Full day with the mountain gorillas. One hour with a habituated family, plus a community visit in the afternoon.
7Bwindi – EntebbeDay 7+
Light-aircraft flight to Entebbe. Afternoon at leisure or a boat to the Ngamba Island chimpanzee sanctuary.
8DepartureDay 8+
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
